Cooperative Economy Workshop Series for 2017

Thursday, February 16, 2017 - 10:00am to Thursday, June 22, 2017 - 1:00pm
Brooklyn

As we enter this year with fierce urgency to build and resist, we continue to be activated to create cooperative solutions to challenges we face.
- Does your organization engage in workforce or entrepreneurship training and want to expand into cooperatives grounded in democratic community control?
- Do you emphasize community organizing and/ or advocacy strategies to create meaningful institutional change in your community?
- Do you want to develop organizational buy-in to develop cooperatives in your community?

For both organizations new to and currently involved in cooperative development, this series will build community, deepen knowledge of and engagement with the solidarity/cooperative economy, strengthen cooperative outreach and buy-in strategies, and enhance popular and democratic education techniques.

Please RSVP to indicate which session(s) you will be attending. You will receive an email to confirm your attendance. Our application-based CBO Planner Training will begin in July 2017, with recruitment beginning in April.

All sessions take place on Thursdays, 10am - 1pm, at the Center for Family Life: 443 39th Street, 4th Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11232.
