We're at 85%

Because of you, we’re nearly 85% of our way to our goal of raising $100,000 and getting NEC financially healthy again before the end of the year.

It’s no wonder that this has been our most successful crowdfunding campaign ever. 85% of people hate their job, according to a 2017 Gallup Poll.1 That’s bad news for the current system and today’s leaders know it.

Donate today to grow tomorrow’s leaders.

By supporting new visionary leadership, NEC is changing the future of work. We are taking back ownership of industry, bringing democracy to the workplace, and restoring organized labor as a force for change in the world. That’s one way that we are #MakingWaves.

“We need to transform our workplace cultures. We need to start over.” says Gallup Chairman Jim Clifton, “It begins by changing what leaders believe. And then changing how they lead.”

We couldn’t agree more.

At NEC, our Peer Circles provide a space for leaders to re-imagine and innovate how we work together and what’s possible when we do it right. Our Women of Color Executive Directors circle found that organizations that center people of color, immigrants, LBGTQ folks and working class communities must adopt a trauma-informed lens in order to build a safe and successful workplace. This year, they brought in NEC Member, the AORTA collective,2 to lead a training on power, consent, and somatics.

"We’re able to deepen and grow our leadership as women of color in part because we’re supported by an amazing NEC peer circle and have access to a larger NEC network." - Hnin Hnin, Executive Director of the Cooperative Food Empowerment Directive3

This is just one example of the many ways in which NEC is supporting our members to center healing, build power, and achieve justice in the workplace.

Your gift directly supports programs like our Peer Circles and other efforts to equip tomorrow’s leaders with the skills they need to change the future of work.

When our work is meaningful, our potential is limitless. Get us to 100% today because no one should hate their job.

In cooperation,
Tori Kuper, NEC
