Harbor Roots


Chaplains on the Harbor stands alongside the poor of Grays Harbor County whose resources, land, and spirit have been extracted for decades. Chaplains is working to restore the people’s access to the abundance of this community by organizing and empowering the leadership of poor people in Grays Harbor County, WA. Harbor Roots Farm is a project of Chaplains on the Harbor. Chaplains has hired 3 of its formerly incarcerated members all dealing with homelessness. They are running a 3-acre vegetable farm, the surplus of which goes back into the food banks in the community.
