New Economy Roundup

New Economy Roundup: Collective Care is the Future

In the spirit of collective care, NEC has closed our offices this week to recognize the impact that the pandemic and uprisings have had on our staff. Even though we’re out of the office, we still wanted to share a scaled-back Roundup with some of our favorite new economy stories from last week (7/16-7/23), new job listings, and upcoming events.

New Economy Roundup: Asian American Solidarity Economies, Co-op Housing Win, & Black Food Sovereignty Demands

In celebration of Asian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, this week we’re talking about the history of solidarity economics in Asian immigrant communities, COVID collective care practices, and feminist resources for Black and Asian-American solidarity. Plus, a big win for the cooperative housing movement, demands to support Black farmers and food sovereignty, and stories from the Just Transition.
