On February 27th the Black Solidarity Economy Fund and Black Radical Democracy working group hosted a live fundraising broadcast on Zoom, Instagram, and YouTube. In this session, we explored how generations of Hip Hop are tending to the resounding cry for overdue systems change.
Together, we uncovered how Hip-Hop has met this mandate and the ways our rich culture could double down even more. Our panelists connected a few bars from 10 (or so) songs circulating in Hip-Hop to crucial political education that’s guiding us to build solidarity economies across the United States.
Whether you’re a solidarity economy practitioner or not, all of our events are accessible to all experience levels unless indicated otherwise.
