At NEC, our Peer Circles provide a space for leaders to re-imagine and innovate how we work together and what’s possible when we do it right. Our Women of Color Executive Directors circle found that organizations that center people of color, immigrants, LBGTQ folks and working class communities must adopt a trauma-informed lens in order to build a safe and successful workplace. This year, they brought in NEC Member, the AORTA collective,2 to lead a training on power, consent, and somatics.
